Bought a $90 digital level and called it a gimmick, now it lives in my apron

I figured my old bubble level was good enough after 12 years of swings, but the digital one caught a 0.2 degree drift on a fixture plate that kept giving me chatter marks every Friday... Turns out the angle indicator on that thing is the real deal, and it's saved me from shimming the same part twice. Anyone else had a tool they swore was overpriced until it actually proved out on the floor?

Buddy of mine laughed at his laser level until it caught a fridge leaning a full degree off.
