Turned down a sponsorship at 12k subs because a friend told me to wait for better offers, still think about it
Back in 2019 when I had around 12k subscribers on my woodworking channel, a buddy who ran a bigger channel told me to turn down a $400 table saw sponsorship because better deals would come once I hit 50k. I took his advice, posted less to "protect the brand," and my channel died at 14k within a year while the company that offered me that deal got roasted for a bad ad campaign and lost half its sponsors anyway. Did anyone else get steered wrong by someone bigger and still wonder what would have happened if you just took the check?
