The apology video filmed in portrait mode got more hate than the original drama

So this local influencer in Phoenix, 40k followers, posted a rant about a small business and then tried to walk it back with an apology video. She filmed it vertical, sitting in her car, with bad lighting and her windshield wipers going off the whole time. People tore it apart worse than the original post, calling it lazy and performative. I swear the production quality did more damage than the actual controversy. She deleted everything by midnight and started a new account under a different name. It got me thinking, has anyone else noticed how the apology format itself becomes the joke? Like do you think a slick studio apology would have saved her or was the damage already done?

Always figured an apology was just about saying the right words, but watching that video felt like a whole other level of "I don't care". The production quality basically screamed that she put more thought into defending herself than into actually fixing the problem. Honestly, a slick studio setup might have seemed too fake, but at least it would have shown she took the situation seriously enough to try.
