Showerthought: found out a beauty guru's old tweets from 2013 cost her a $2 million deal
I was scrolling through an old drama video last night and saw screenshots of Tati Westbrook's tweets from 2013 where she used some really bad slurs. Someone in the comments said she lost a $2 million sponsorship with a big skincare brand because of it, which blew my mind. I guess I always thought cancel culture was mostly about new stuff, but digging up 10 year old posts is a whole different game. Does anyone know if that deal actually fell through or if she just quietly apologized and moved on?
