Rant: That time a beauty influencer faked a whole skincare routine for a sponsored post
I spotted her using a $12 drugstore cleanser in one clip but claiming it was a $200 product in the caption, and when I called it out her fans swarmed my DMs for a week. Has anyone else caught a celeb lying about what they actually use?

You make a fair point about catching them in the act, but honestly this kind of thing has been going on forever in every industry. It's just marketing. The brand pays her to say she uses their $200 cream, she uses whatever she actually likes. People get way too worked up over what some influencer is putting on their face. If you're buying a product based on what a person on the internet says, that's kind of on you.

Three drugstore products in one video doesn't match the luxury routine her caption promised.

Three drugstore products in one video" - wait, seriously? That's wild. So she's out here swiping on a $12 cleanser but telling everyone it's some fancy $200 thing? I can't believe people buy into that stuff.
