Pro tip: I tried to publicly call out a small influencer for a bad sponsor deal and ended up getting ratioed so hard I had to lock my account for a week

The influencer fans swarmed my mentions within 20 minutes and started digging up old tweets from 2016 where I complained about a coffee shop, so now I just privately message brands about bad partnerships instead of posting receipts.

Oh man I learned that lesson the hard way too, now I just screenshot everything and keep it to myself.

Wait, you mean screaming into the void on a public platform doesn't always work out? @kim819 probably has a secret folder of screenshots labeled "for my eyes only" too, right? I guess some lessons just need to be learned the hard way with a side of digital mob justice.

@thomas_martinez raises a good point about digital mob justice being unpredictable. So here's my question: after seeing that happen to you, do you still trust private DMs as a safe way to warn brands, or do you worry those messages could leak too? I imagine the line between protecting yourself and just giving up on accountability gets blurry real fast (especially when you know someone's still screwing creators over behind the scenes).
