My cousin told me to clap back at a troll and it backfired hard
So last month I posted a makeup tutorial and this one girl kept commenting that my blending looked like mud. My cousin said I should hit reply with something sassy like 'at least my brush isn't lost in your DMs.' I thought it was clever so I did it. Next thing I know she screenshots it, posts it to her 15k followers, and they all start piling on calling me petty. I ended up deleting the whole video just to stop the notifications. Has anyone else had a clapback that totally blew up in their face?

Nailed it. I once tried to roast a guy for his weird profile pic and he turned out to be a semi-famous comedian, got ratioed so hard I just deleted my whole account for a week.

Oh man that's brutal but honestly the audacity is kind of impressive. You had the guts to go after someone's profile pic and then karma just kicked you right in the teeth. I love that you just vanished for a week like a wounded animal licking its wounds. That's exactly what I would've done too, just disappear into the shadow realm until people forgot. The ratio is the internet's way of telling you your roast was a failure and you should feel bad. At least you can say you went down swinging even if you got absolutely demolished in the process.

Lesson learned: never roast someone with more followers than you.
