Just watched a beauty influencer try to clap back at a hate comment by posting her skincare routine and it backfired hard
She listed all these expensive products but turned out half of them were from a brand she trashed in a sponsored video last year, and now the thread is just people screenshotting her old tweets. Has anyone else seen a cancel attempt get turned around by old receipts like that?

Wait, did anyone actually call her out on the inconsistency in real time or did people just start digging after she posted the routine? Seems like the kind of thing where the receipts were already in the replies before she even finished typing that clapback. I'm curious if she tried to spin it as "growing out of the product" or just straight up ignored the screenshots.

Aaron884 already called it with the three screenshots in four minutes. I read somewhere that she tried to play it off like she had "rediscovered" the product from her mom's bathroom cabinet, which was such a weak cover. @thomas.parker is right, the receipts were already out there before she even hit post on that clapback.

Three people had screenshots up within four minutes, I checked because I have too much free time on my hands and clearly need a hobby.
