I saw a food blogger get cancelled over a $12 jar of honey

This vegan influencer I followed for years posted a brand deal for a local honey company that turned out to be owned by a guy who made homophobic comments on Facebook back in 2019. Within 48 hours she deleted the post, issued a vague apology, and then wiped her entire Instagram feed of 3,000 photos. Has anyone else noticed how fast these influencers scrub their accounts when their ethics get called out?

Right, because nothing says "I'm a morally sound human" like nuking three years of food porn over a bad PR choice. Honestly, I'm surprised she didn't just throw her phone in a river and move to a cabin in the woods. Meanwhile, I can't even remember to delete my old Venmo payments, let alone 3,000 photos without getting thumb cramps. If I tried that panic delete, I'd probably accidentally delete my tax returns and then have to blame it on the honey guy too. At this rate, she's probably more worried about her engagement metrics than the actual ethics of the situation, but hey, that's just my two cents after my own questionable life choices.
