I clapped at a canceled YouTuber's comeback post for 6 months before realizing he never went away
So there's this guy who got run off Twitter back in 2022 for some brand deal mess, and I had this whole routine where every time he popped up in my feed I'd screenshot it and send it to my group chat with like five fire emojis. Did that for about 6 months straight. Then last week I'm scrolling at like 3am after a shift and I see he's doing a live stream with 40,000 people watching, selling his own coffee brand, and I go to screenshot it and realize I've been the one keeping him alive in my chat. My buddy Dave finally replies and goes dude you've sent me this same guy 23 times, he's fine, he's just not on one app anymore. I went back through my camera roll and counted. 19 screenshots of this man's face. I was so busy laughing at his 'cancellation' that I never noticed he just moved to a different platform, kept the same fans, and made the coffee bag the actual comeback. Turns out the only person still thinking about the cancellation was me, posting it like a trophy. So my question is, has anyone else caught themselves doing this? Laughing at somebody who got clipped when they already dusted themselves off and moved on?
