Hot take: I thought that influencer apology template was a joke until I saw someone actually use it word for word
I was scrolling through Instagram last Tuesday and saw this beauty influencer post a full video apology after getting caught photoshopping her skin in every post. She literally said 'I'm taking time to reflect and grow' and 'this isn't who I am' back to back. I actually paused and checked if she was parodying herself. Has anyone else caught someone using that exact script, or am I just late to noticing how fake these apologies have gotten?

Caught a fitness guy doing this last month after he got called out for promoting a detox tea that literally made people sick. He sat in front of a beige wall with the same lighting and said 'I'm really listening to my community' three times. It was so bad I actually forwarded it to my friend and we tried to find the original template online. The funny thing is the apology ended up getting more backlash than the original drama because everyone could tell it was copied. I feel like at this point influencers need to hire a script doctor or just admit they messed up without the fake therapy speak.

You seen that food blogger apology from a few months back? My buddy screenshotted the whole thing because she literally said "I need to sit with this feedback" and "I'm committed to doing better" in the same video. He found the exact template on some PR website later that week. The apology got ratioed so hard she deleted her account for like two days.
