Got roasted by a commenter for my messy cable management in a setup tour video

I posted a video tour of my home studio setup last month, pretty proud of it. Some guy commented saying my cables looked like a "spaghetti monster threw up behind my desk" and it got like 200 upvotes. I was annoyed at first but then I actually looked back at the video and he was totally right, it was a mess. So I spent a Saturday with some velcro ties and a cable raceway kit, cleaned it all up, and reposted a before and after shot. Has anyone else had a random internet comment suddenly make you see something you'd been ignoring forever?

Laughed way too hard at "spaghetti monster" because that was literally my setup before I finally bought zip ties last year. I had a cable colony living behind my desk, multiple generations of dust bunnies in there. Ignorance was bliss until someone pointed out the absolute chaos I was living in.

Hold up, I gotta disagree with this one. Zip ties just make it look neat on the surface while the rats nest is still there. You can't tell me you've never had to snip half a dozen ties just to swap out one cable, then you're left with a bunch of clipped plastic bits everywhere. I swear my desk ran better when the cables were loose and moving around, less heat buildup or something. Plus dust bunnies are gonna settle no matter what you do, zip ties or not they find a way. You traded one problem for another where now you gotta deal with those little plastic stubs stabbing your fingers every time you reach back there.
