Can we talk about how long it takes to get a verified badge removed from an old account?

I tried to delete a Twitter account from 2016 that had the blue check and it took 6 weeks of emails just to get them to unsuspend it. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of runaround from their support team?

bro six weeks is insane lol. i had a similar thing happen with an old account i just wanted to delete, and they kept asking for screenshots and proof of ownership from like 2014. it took a month of back and forth before they finally said okay. their support is honestly the worst, they make you jump through so many hoops for no reason.

ray_hernandez nailed it. that "send us a selfie with a sticky note" energy is exhausting. six weeks is wild but honestly not shocking for them.
