Visited a 150 year old farmhouse near Bozeman and their chimney was lined with old license plates...

That 1947 Montana plate caught my eye first, that old style with the yellow numbers. I've noticed people out here fix things with whatever they have laying around, it's almost like a unwritten rule of rural life. My grandpa used to patch fence posts with old tractor parts and bake cans, same kind of thinking. It's part of that whole make do with what you got mentality that just disappears more and more every year.

@christopher_wells4 you ever ask your grandpa why he saved that old plate in the first place?

Yo @christopher_wells4 did you see those plates holding the mortar together? My uncle used old hubcaps to patch the roof on his shed, same exact vibe. It's like rural folks just look at trash and see future supplies.
