My extension ladder slipped on a wet roof in Tacoma last Friday

It was a light drizzle and I didn't secure the feet properly. What's your go-to method for wet weather ladder safety?

Light drizzle is still a slip risk, but honestly sometimes you gotta just get the job done. I've worked plenty of wet roofs in Tacoma by just wedging the feet against something solid and moving fast. Over-prepping for a little moisture can waste more time than it's worth.

This is how most people treat small risks in life, just push through.

Yeah the "just push through" thing sounds right until it goes wrong. My buddy thought a wet deck was no big deal last fall, just a quick patch job. He took one step onto the plywood, his boot slid out, and he fell flat on his back off the low edge. Spent the whole next week on the couch with ice packs, couldn't work at all. That little time he saved by not drying it first totally wrecked him.
