Local fire changed my mind on chimney caps
A house on my street had a bird nest catch fire in their chimney last week. I always thought caps were just for looks, but now I see they keep animals and debris out. How many of you install caps as a standard part of your service?

Whoa, a bird nest actually caught fire? That sounds terrifying. I can't even imagine the noise and the smell. Those things are made of dry twigs and feathers, so it must have gone up like a torch. How did they even get the fire out without it spreading into the house? That's a serious wake-up call.

Heard my friend's nest caught fire, @the_brooke, and they used a hose to stop it from spreading.
