Hit 500 sweeps last week and it hit me weird
I crossed 500 chimney sweeps last Thursday on a job in Edmonds. I've been doing this for about 6 years now and never really counted before. But for some reason that number just made me stop and think about all the creosote and soot I've hauled out. Has anyone else hit a random milestone like that and felt something about it?

Oh wow, I'm actually with you on this one, Karen is way off base. It's not about the job being just dirt, it's about the weight of doing something consistently for half a decade and finally seeing the full picture of that effort. 500 sweeps means 500 families who needed their homes safe, 500 times you showed up and did the work, and that adds up to something real whether you want it to or not.

Hit me weird" is kinda dramatic for some chimney cleaning numbers. 500 sweeps is a lot of work sure, but it's just a job right? I've been doing home inspections way longer and if I stopped to feel some way about every milestone I'd never get anything done. You're overthinking this one. It's dust and dirt at the end of the day.
