Hit 2,000 cleanings last Tuesday and didnt even realize it till I checked my logbook

I was going through my old records from when I started sweeping back in 2012 in Portland. Added up all the jobs I've done. 2,048 total. Kinda blew my mind honestly. I remember my first one was a tiny wood stove insert and I was so nervous I left my brush on the roof. Had to go back and get it lol. The number just snuck up on me cause I never really kept count. Any of you guys ever look back at your totals and get surprised?

Read somewhere that most sweepers hit these milestones without even noticing, kind of like how bus drivers don't track every route they've done. @thompson.nathan I totally get forgetting gear at a job, I once left my tape measure on a roof for three days before the homeowner called me about it. It's wild how these numbers sneak up on you when you're just focused on doing good work. Makes you realize how many fireplaces and stoves you've actually seen over the years. Idk it's just a cool feeling to look back and see that much history in one number.

You gotta love when the numbers creep up on you like that. My logbook's been sitting in a drawer for years, I'm probably close to 3,000 by now but I stopped counting after the first thousand. That first job jitters thing is real though. I left a scraper on a customer's mantle once and didn't realize it till I was halfway home. Had to turn around and knock on their door all embarrassed.

Hate that feeling. I've done similar things more times than I'd like to admit.
