Had to pick between a cheap brush kit and a mid-range one

Last month I grabbed a $35 brush set from the hardware store instead of the $80 one the supply shop recommended. After three jobs I can already see the bristles bending and it's leaving streaks on the flue tiles. Anyone else regret going budget on brushes?

Bristles bending and leaving streaks" - I mean, is it really that big of a deal? A few streaks on a brush isn't the end of the world, you know? Seems like something you could just wipe off and move on with your day.

Oh yeah, because who doesn't love playing "find the streak" every time you clean a chimney? I swear my cheap brush has more character defects than I do.
