Bought a $600 power sweeper attachment and it flopped hard
I dropped $600 on one of those rotary power sweeper attachments for my truck from a guy at a trade show in Ohio. Figured it would save me time on heavy creosote buildup, but after three jobs the motor housing cracked. The company ghosted me when I tried to get a replacement, no warranty support at all. I went back to my old manual rods and a poly brush head, which takes longer but actually works every time. Now I'm out that money and stuck with a busted attachment taking up space in my garage. Has anyone else had bad luck with motorized sweeping gear or am I just picking the wrong brands?

Pulled a classic move of trusting the shiny new thing instead of sticking with what actually works, huh? lol. At least the busted sweeper makes a cool garage trophy to remind you not to fall for trade show magic again.

Switching to a corded model after that fiasco saved me so much headache.

Margaret, "classic move of trusting the shiny new thing" is EXACTLY what I did and it STILL stings to think about. I was at that trade show and the demo was SO smooth, the sales guy was talking about how it could map my whole yard and remember obstacle patterns. I literally bought it on the spot like a fool. Now it just sits there blinking a "maintenance required" light I can't even clear. A garage trophy is GENEROUS, more like a $700 paperweight that reminds me how gullible I can be.
