Worst shift of my life was a Valentine's Day dinner service in Chicago

We had 86 covers on the books but then 12 walk-ins showed up at once, and the expo called off sick 20 minutes before service. The ticket machine just kept printing and I burned my arm on a saute pan trying to fire four orders of duck at the same time. Has anyone else had a service that made them almost walk out mid-shift?
