Serious question, has anyone ever had to choose between a wedding cake and a birthday cake for the same day?

Last Saturday, I had to pick between a 3-tier vanilla wedding cake and a giant chocolate dinosaur cake for a kid's party. I took the wedding, but my assistant forgot to tell the bakery about the change. The bride got a T-Rex on top. Anyone else had a mix-up that bad?

Honestly this stuff happens way more than people admit. I see it all the time where one small slip up makes a huge mess. It's like the universe loves to mess with plans right when you think everything is set. That T-Rex story is gonna be a better memory than a perfect cake anyway lol.

My cousin's wedding cake had a spelling error and the bride cried for an hour. Some mistakes just ruin the mood and that's it. Not every mess becomes a fun story later.

Ever think about the poor baker who had to explain a dinosaur on a wedding cake? Harper_cooper21 is right that these mess ups make better stories. But what if the mix-up actually saved the day? Maybe the bride secretly loved dinosaurs as a kid, or the T-Rex made a nervous groom laugh and relax. Sometimes the wrong thing is the perfect thing, you know?
