I visited a greasy spoon off Hawthorne last month and watched the line cook fire 30 eggs in under 8 minutes without breaking one yolk. Reminded me why I love watching pros work their station fast, no drama. Do you ever pick up new tricks just by watching another line cook handle a rush?

Yeah, watching a short-order cook at a 24-hour spot taught me the perfect wrist flick for flipping pancakes without splatter.

Whoa wait @mia748, thirty eggs without breaking one yolk? That's insane. I gotta see that wrist flick in action sometime.

Haha ngl I'd be more impressed if he broke every single one on purpose. That's just showing off at that point, like a magician who won't tell you the trick. Tbh if I tried that I'd have shells in half the orders and a yolk running down my arm like a sad egg waterfall. Reminds me of that one guy who could crack an egg one handed while flipping a burger with the other, pure chaos but somehow it worked. Honestly I just watch and nod like I know what I'm doing, then go back to burning toast like a pro.
