Tried to copy a celeb's IG recipe and ended up with a kitchen full of smoke

I attempted that viral Jennifer Aniston salad from her post last month but used a random cheese instead of feta and it basically turned into a burnt mess in my air fryer, has anyone else followed a famous person's instructions and totally wrecked dinner?

My friend tried it and set off three smoke detectors.

My son did the same thing in a college dorm with a George Foreman grill. Exactly three smoke detectors went off, like you said @andrew_rodriguez. The trick is you have to put a paper towel over the microwave vent to catch the grease splatter, but not too tight or it'll catch fire. Also, never cook bacon longer than 30 seconds at a time or it will smoke like crazy. I learned that the hard way when the dorm manager showed up at my son's door.

Yeah I totally get that, my buddy once set off the building alarm trying to make bacon in a dorm microwave. It was a whole thing with the fire department showing up and everything.
