The 'forgot to switch accounts' blunder that made me question everything
I used to think all those celebrity 'oops I posted this on my public account' moments were staged for attention. Like, come on, how do you accidentally tweet something that personal to 10 million people? But then last month I saw a local politician in Orlando blow up because he replied to his own alt account's racy DM on his public feed by mistake. It was so specific and weirdly timed that it felt real. Now I'm wondering if these fails are genuine slip-ups or if celebrities actually benefit from the drama. Has anyone else flipped on this after seeing one that seemed too authentic to fake?

Missing a step and falling down the stairs in front of your whole office is way more embarrassing than a celebrity posting the wrong thing, trust me I know. My own worst 'public account' moment was accidentally liking a tweet from my high school's official account from 2012 while trying to look up a meme. The drama is real but the stakes are just lower when you're not famous.
