That time a celebrity tried to cancel themselves with a single typo

I noticed this weird pattern where famous people will post this big emotional apology for something they didn't actually do, just because they misread a tweet. Last week I saw an actor apologize for three paragraphs about a restaurant he supposedly trashed, then it turned out someone with a similar name posted it. He deleted everything 15 minutes later but the screenshots were already all over Reddit. Has anyone else noticed how fast these panic-apologies escalate before anyone even checks the facts?

Did the actor even check the original tweet before typing all that out? I feel like most of these people have their publicist or assistant managing their accounts, and they still hit send without looking. Saw one singer apologize for using a "controversial" word in an interview, turned out she was quoting the person who said it to her. She spent all day crying on Instagram Stories over nothing. Why don't they just wait 10 minutes before posting?

Wait 10 minutes before posting" would solve 90% of celeb drama tbh.
