That time a celeb tried to sell a 'hand-painted' print and it was just a filter
Honestly, I saw this influencer I used to like post about these limited edition prints she supposedly painted herself. She was selling them for $150 each, saying each one was unique. Tbh, I zoomed in on the photo she shared and it was clearly just a digital filter slapped on a selfie. The brush strokes were literally the same pixels in every 'different' print she showed. I called her out in the comments and she blocked me within 10 minutes. Has anyone else noticed celebrities pulling this fake 'handmade' merch scam? What did you do about it?

So she's scamming people but at least she's making her money lol.

You know what, I used to be one of those people who'd just scroll past stuff like this and think "well, that's their problem if they fall for it." But I got burned by something similar a few months back. A local "business guru" ran a fake giveaway for coaching sessions, took entry fees from probably 50 people including me, and vanished. Suddenly it wasn't so funny when I watched $75 disappear for literally nothing. Changed my whole view on this kind of thing.

Saw a news report the other day that said this one influencer made over $200k from fake giveaways before anyone even called her out. People were sending her money for a chance to win stuff that never existed. It's not just shady, it's straight up illegal in most states. The "lol" attitude is why these scams keep working, nobody takes it seriously until they lose their own cash.
