That paparazzi tweet roast made me rethink my whole posting style

Last month a fan account called out my caption on a red carpet photo for being too scripted, said it looked like my publicist wrote it. They were right, I used to copy those generic promo lines word for word. Now I write like I talk, even if it's messier or shorter. Has anyone else gotten roasted in replies and actually changed how they post?

Actually I see it the opposite way. Getting roasted made me double down on having a clear brand voice, because at the end of the day my captions are part of the job. The people following me for a specific vibe expect a certain polish, and messy off the cuff posts can confuse that. Plus, the fan accounts will find something to nitpick no matter what you do, so you might as well stay consistent with what got you noticed in the first place. I respect that you found freedom in writing loose, but for me the scripted stuff was never a mask, it was just the style that worked.
