Saw a celeb try to delete a tweet by posting a screenshot of it
I was scrolling through my feed the other night and saw some D-list reality star try to apologize for a dumb tweet. Instead of just deleting it, she posted a screenshot of the tweet with a caption saying she was taking it down. It just made the whole thing worse because now everyone saw the screenshot and started dragging her more. Remember when people used to just quietly delete stuff and move on? Has anyone else noticed this weird trend where celebs double down on their own mistakes by accident?

Started reading about this in a psychology article someone shared on Reddit. The writer called it the Streisand Effect too, where trying to hide something just makes more people see it. I guess when a celeb posts a screenshot of their own dumb tweet, they're basically doing the opposite of what they wanted. It reminds me of how some influencers accidentally screen record their own search history when trying to make a story about something else. Maybe it's just me but I feel like the internet is getting too complicated for people to handle their own screwups.
