Saw a celeb post a crying selfie after a bad review and it was clearly staged
Last Tuesday I was scrolling and saw an actor I like posted this big long rant about a 3 star review from a food blog. They had a tear track selfie with perfect lighting and makeup. Someone in the comments pointed out the reflection showed a ring light and a tripod timer. Has anyone else caught a celeb faking their 'real' emotional posts?

My cousin's girlfriend does the same thing with 400 followers. Best way to spot it is look at the edges of the photo for any staging gear or watch the hand placement if they're "crying" while holding something.

My cousin's girlfriend does this same thing on her personal Instagram with 400 followers. She takes 47 shots of her "spontaneous" coffee spill crying face then picks the best one. Last month I saw her at the mall staging a "caught off guard" laughing photo with her friends standing IN POSES for 10 minutes. The weird part is normal people are learning this stuff from celebrities and now everyone's crying selfies look like perfume ads.

Man that is so exhausting to even think about. It really does change how you see people when you know the stuff behind the curtain. The whole thing about normal people learning from celebrities is spot on. You end up looking at someone's post and wondering if they actually dropped their coffee or if they planned the whole thing out for likes. Must be draining for her too honestly, nobody should have to work that hard for a photo that's supposed to look like it just happened. I feel bad for anyone stuck in that cycle where even your emotions need to be staged perfectly.
