My friend told me to ignore celeb apology posts and I was wrong

For years, my friend Jake kept saying, 'Never read a celebrity apology thread, it's always a mess.' I thought he was being too harsh and would sometimes read them out of curiosity. Then last month, that actor from that superhero show posted a 10 paragraph apology for a bad joke. I dove into the comments. It was a disaster. People were picking apart every single word, screenshotting his old tweets, and the 'apology' just made everything worse. It dragged on for two full days on Twitter. Jake sent me a text that just said 'told you so.' He was right. Now I just scroll right past. What's the worst apology trainwreck you've seen recently?

Ugh, that whole "apology tour" from that singer last week was brutal. They dug their own grave with every new post.

Honestly skyler190, it feels like people are making a huge deal out of nothing. Celebrities mess up all the time and it gets forgotten by next month. The whole thing just wasn't that deep.

Remember when we thought those apology posts could actually help?
