My cousin made me watch a celeb's 'apology' video and we both cringed into next week

So last Tuesday my cousin Rachel comes over and she's like 'you gotta see this', and she pulls up this influencer's Instagram Live where she's trying to explain why she posted a photo of herself at a private jet with the caption 'sustainable queen'. The video was 14 minutes long and she spent 9 of those minutes staring off screen while her assistant handed her notes. Rachel and I just sat there, and at one point she actually said 'I'm not like other celebrities, I research everything' and then the next slide on her story was a spelling error in the word 'environment'. We rewound it like 4 times because it was so painfully awkward. It got me thinking, do these people ever watch themselves back before they hit post? I mean, a 30 second self-review would catch half this stuff. Has anyone else been forced to watch a full celeb apology video and just felt secondhand embarrassment so bad you had to turn it off halfway?

Lol that "sustainable queen" caption is tragically funny. But actually, most of them do watch themselves back, they just don't see what we see. They think staring off screen for notes makes them look busy or important, not completely unprepared. The real problem is they hire yes-people who tell them every video is perfect, so their self-review is basically just checking if their lighting is good. Also, I gotta gently point out that private jet girl probably writes her own captions with zero help, which is honestly worse. A real PR person would've caught that spelling error before it ever went live.
