I thought that actor's 'hacked' apology was just bad PR, but the leaked DMs proved it

I saw the weird tweets and figured their team messed up, but then screenshots surfaced showing their friend actually posted it as a joke. Has anyone else had a celeb fail they totally misread at first?

Diana140 saying she felt like a real idiot for reading deep meanings into that song, I get that so hard. I was totally convinced a director's weird movie ending was some deep political statement. Then he did a podcast and said he just ran out of money and had to wrap it up fast. My whole theory just fell apart. It really does make you question every single public mess you see from now on.

Yeah, totally get that. I was sure a singer's breakup song was about her ex, but then an interview dropped where she said it was about her pet dog passing away. Felt like a real idiot for reading all those deep meanings into it. Sometimes the story in your head is just wrong. Makes you second guess every public mess from now on.

Oh man, that "story in your head" thing is so real. I just take the art for what it means to me now, and try to ignore the artist's explanation. Saves a lot of overthinking.
