Heard a pop star's voice crack on a live stream and couldn't look away

I was scrolling Instagram and caught this singer from a 2000s boy band doing a Q&A, and his voice cracked so bad on a high note he just stopped and stared at the camera for 5 seconds. He tried to laugh it off but you could see his face get red through the filter. Has anyone else witnessed a celeb just completely lose composure online and not know how to recover?

My jaw literally dropped when he just froze like that for 5 whole seconds. I can't believe he didn't just cut the stream or pretend it was a audio glitch or something.

Dude 5 seconds is an eternity in streaming, he was definitely short-circuiting hard there lol.

Hang on, I gotta push back a little on this one. Five seconds might feel like an eternity to us watching, but when you're live and your brain just goes blank, it's like time stops for you too. I've been there where you're so deep in your own head trying to remember what you were gonna say that everything else just fades out. It's not a "short circuit" really, it's more like your brain's loading wheel spinning and you can't force it to go faster. Yeah he could have cut the stream, but sometimes you freeze because you're trying to stay genuine and not just bail on the moment.
