Dog sitting my sister's corgi for 3 days and I already broke her $900 robot vacuum

So my sister went to Austin, Texas for a work trip, and she left me her corgi, Biscuit, plus her brand new robot vacuum. I figured, easy money, free apartment for 3 days. Big mistake. Biscuit found a single sock, dragged it across the living room, and the vacuum ate it whole somewhere around hour 4. I didn't notice until I came back from getting groceries, and the thing was just sitting there blinking red with a sock tail hanging out like a cat that swallowed a mouse. I spent 2 hours trying to get the sock out with tweezers and a butter knife, and I ended up snapping one of the little brush arms clean off. Now the vacuum just spins in circles and beeps, and Biscuit barks at it like it's a wounded animal. Has anyone else had a pet destroy something expensive while you were supposed to be the responsible one?
