Did Rihanna really hit 1 million followers in one day or was that a glitch?
I saw Rihanna's Instagram jump from like 8 million to 9 million in a single day last month, and some people were saying it was bots or a counting error. But others think it was legit because she posted that viral makeup tutorial. Which side do you believe, has anyone else noticed weird follower spikes with other celebs?

Agree with you that something felt off about that jump. I've seen other folks like Kylie Jenner have similar huge spikes that later got corrected by Instagram, so it's hard to trust these numbers anymore. Wish these platforms were more upfront about how they count followers, especially when it affects how we see someone's real reach.
