TIL that a single comma changed the meaning of my old work email from 2019 and my old boss still brings it up
I was digging through old sent mail looking for a receipt and found a message from my first job in Tampa where I wrote "lets eat grandma" instead of "lets eat, grandma" and she printed it out for the whole team. What is the worst typo you have ever been caught making at work?
A buddy of mine named Dave worked at a car dealership in Ohio and sent an email to a customer named Mrs. Hutchinson that said "thank you for your patience with our mating department." He meant to type marketing. She forwarded it to the general manager, who printed it and taped it to the break room fridge for two years. Dave said the worst part was the customer replied and asked if that was a new service they offered. He never lived it down and ended up changing jobs a year later.
