My GPS shortcut in El Paso backfired so bad I ended up in a dead end with a llama

I was hauling a load through El Paso and thought I'd outsmart the traffic by following this back road my GPS suggested, a real shortcut. Ten miles later I'm parked in front of a chain-link fence with a llama staring at me and no room to turn around. The fence had a sign that said 'Private Property, No Trespassing' and I had to back up a quarter mile on a dirt path. Cost me an extra 45 minutes and I still hit the same jam on the interstate. Anyone else trust their GPS on a 'shortcut' and ended up someplace that made zero sense?
