Group chat screenshot got me roasted at my own party in Boston

I sent a text complaining about my roommate's cooking to the wrong chat, and someone screenshotted it and put it on the wall at my surprise party last Saturday. Half the guests thought it was hilarious and the other half said I was being a jerk, so which side is actually right here?

Damn, someone actually printed that out and hung it on the wall at your own party? That's cold blooded. I mean, yeah, maybe you were being a little harsh about the cooking, but that's between you and your roommate. Having it displayed for everyone to see turns a private vent into a public roast, and that's a whole different thing. Half the guests laughing doesn't make it okay, it just means they're not the ones who got embarrassed. Your roommate probably felt like crap seeing that up there, and you probably felt like crap too, so honestly everyone lost that night. Whoever did that to you is the real jerk here, not you.
