Got roasted by a random commenter for my inconsistent lighting in photos, now I check my white balance before every shot

Some guy on a forum pointed out that my before and after car paint shots had totally different color temps, and once I saw it I couldn't unsee it. Has anyone else had a stranger's critique totally change their routine?

@nancy_ross yeah I feel you but sometimes fresh eyes actually help. I was stuck on my own logo for months and kept trying to fix it solo. Finally just asked a discord group what they saw when they looked at it first time. One guy said it looked like a coffee stain and that pushed me to redesign the whole thing. Turned out way better and I never would have seen it myself.
