Got my own wrong number text chain screenshotted back to me

I accidentally replied all to a group chat about a surprise party on Friday. The host asked everyone to keep it quiet so I typed 'she better not find out' and sent it to the birthday girl by mistake. She took a screenshot and posted it in the same group chat 10 minutes later with a crying laughing emoji. Whole plan got blown up and I had to explain myself to 12 people. Has anyone else had their own fail come back around like that?

Ugh I mean technically you replied to the wrong person not the whole group. But yeah that's brutal having your own mistake immortalized in a screenshot like that.

Wait, she screenshotted your message and then posted it in the same group chat where everyone was planning her surprise party? That's just cold. I mean, I get that she thought it was funny, but now the whole surprise is ruined and you're stuck looking like the bad guy. At least you can say you were trying to keep it a secret, even if you messed up the delivery. I'd be mortified if my own mistake got thrown back in my face like that.
