Update: my sister said my new go-to phrase "that's a you problem" is already dead and now I can't tell if she's right
So I picked up saying "that's a you problem" from a guy I work with back in March, and I honestly thought I was early on it. I used it maybe 20 times since then, mostly when orders get messed up and someone tries to blame the line, and it always got a laugh. Then on Sunday my sister and I were driving to get tacos and I said it about her parking ticket, and she just looked at me and went "nobody says that anymore, that's like a 2023 thing." She's 24 and spends way too much time on the apps, so she usually knows. But now I keep hearing it and I can't tell if I'm just noticing it because she said something or if it really peaked and I'm the last guy on the bus. I tried saying it once at work today and the dishwasher gave me this look like I was doing a bit. Is this one cooked or does it still have legs in certain rooms? Need honest answers, not just people being nice about it.
