That guy who swore by glue-down over stretch-in for stairs finally got me

My neighbor Mike insisted glue-down was faster on a curved staircase in Phoenix, and after fighting with tack strips for 5 hours on my first one, I tried it and cut the next job by 2 hours. Has anyone else found glue-down actually holds better on tricky steps, or did I just get lucky?

Right, because physics and chemistry just take a break when it comes to staircases. Hot glue's feelings don't care if it's 110 out.

Hold up, how about the Phoenix heat though? Did the glue soften up at all or did it set faster in the dry air? I've heard stories about glue failing on curved treads when temps hit 110. Wondering if the climate actually made the glue work better for you.
