That damn stair pattern took me 4 hours to match
I got a call last Tuesday to install carpet on a split level entryway. The homeowner wanted the pattern to flow perfectly from the landing down to the bottom step. I spent way too long cutting and recutting the first three treads because the repeat was off by an inch. Ended up having to order an extra 15 square feet just to get the alignment right. Has anyone else had a pattern matching job turn into a full day nightmare?
