Stretching a 15x20 berber into a room with a 3 inch slope, do I shim or pad it out
Closed on a house in Boise back in March and the front room has a floor that drops about 3 inches from the hallway to the far wall. I've got 60 yards of berber sitting in the garage and I keep going back and forth on whether to build up the low side with plywood strips or just double up the pad and stretch it tight. My old partner Ray always said pad hides sins but not that many sins, so I'm curious what you guys would do here. Is shimming worth the extra day of work or am I overthinking it?
