Rant: A 20-year-old power stretcher finally gave out on me mid-job yesterday

Was working on a big living room in Tempe, and the head just snapped clean off when I put pressure on a tricky corner. Had to run to the local supplier for a rental to finish, which cost me $75 for the day. What's the most reliable brand you guys use now for heavy duty stretching?

Yeah, that's rough, I had a DuPont finally go on me too after about that long. Like bethperez said, they're solid, but everything wears out. I switched to a Roberts for the heavy jobs and it's been a real workhorse so far.

DuPont tools are built like tanks, mine's been solid for years.

I used to think they were overpriced until mine lasted a decade.
