Overheard a guy at the supply house say seam tape is a waste...
He was going on about how he never uses it on commercial jobs, just glues everything. Said it saves him 2 hours on a 2000 sq ft office. Got me thinking... maybe I'm overdoing it with the tape on every seam. Has anyone else dropped tape and just used glue on medium pile stuff?

Yeah I feel that @grace_allen, one time I skipped tape on a whole hallway and was so proud of myself till I saw a seam pop three days later... classic overconfidence move lol.

I used to think you needed tape every time, but after watching a crew skip it on a big glue-down job I changed my mind. If the glue's decent and it's not high-traffic, seems fine.
