Dropped $180 on a 'pro' knee kicker from a guy on Marketplace, and it snapped on the second bedroom
Found a listing in Mesa for a knee kicker that looked brand new, guy said he only used it on a few jobs and wanted it gone for $180. I drove out there, handed him cash, and felt pretty good about it until I got to a stretch-in on Tuesday. Second bedroom, right at the doorway, the head just folded over like tinfoil and the whole thing bent. Took it to a local shop and the guy took one look and said it was a cheap knockoff with pot metal inside, said he sees about three a month come in like that. If you're buying used gear off Marketplace, bring a magnet and check the head, and does anyone know a brand that still uses real steel on these things?
