Watched a 40 year old deck go from gray and splintered to looking new after 2 coats of oil
My neighbor's cedar deck in Portland was so dried out you could snap the boards by hand, and he almost tore the whole thing out. We sanded it down and put on two coats of penofin over a weekend, and now the grain pops like it was milled yesterday. Anyone else had luck bringing back old cedar or is it usually a lost cause once it gets that far gone?
