The lumber yard guys comment about grain direction finally clicked
Last month at Home Depot a loader said 'always read the end grain before you cut' and after 12 years of building furniture I realized I had been ignoring the one thing that explains why three of my last four tabletops split on me, so now I spend an extra 5 minutes picking boards at the yard, has anyone else had a simple tip from a stranger fix a problem you'd been fighting for years?
